Stir
a spoonful into plain rice, risotto or pasta just before
you serve it. Cant get much simpler
than this one but its good! |

Spread
a spoonful onto fish or a chicken fillet and then bake
in the oven. The fish will take ten
to fifteen minutes and the chicken about twenty-five to
thirty minutes. |

Mix
a spoonful with crème fraiche for a delicious summer
sauce. Great with cold fish or chicken. |

For
a light snack or nibble with drinks, spread the pesto
on a slice of lightly toasted baguette
or ciabatta. |

For a taste that belies the simplicity of its preparation,
insert a tablespoon of pesto between
the skin and the meat of a chicken breast. Then roast
gently until thoroughly cooked. |

Remove stalk and then place a large flat mushroom, upside
down, on a lightly greased
roasting tin. Spread the surface of the mushroom with
pesto, top with an olive and bake for just ten
minutes to get a wonderful first course. Alternatively,
